The story is... I have to draw a handful of pictures as part of a job application. They need to be icons which, when combined create a certain theme... i've got some preliminary pics down already, but before I go and do the finished renderings, I wanted to suck some more ideas out from that tenderest of cerebral marrows, the combined juicy grey matter that is the asylum. The thing is, the theme I have to do is extremely generic, so the pictures could really be just about anything...

Anyway, if you want to help me out here, think of this like free word association, except you can list as many things as you want on the theme...

BTW, the assignment is in two parts, three icons on the theme and an overall image which describes the theme. For the overall image, i have a guy in an indiana jones stlye hat and half a shirt, with a buxom babe, also in half a shirt. they're white water rafting down a mountain, in the jungle with a mayan looking temple in the background, he's got that faraway 'i just got the treasure' look in his eyes, while she is looking worriedly at him and pointing at an old 'X marks the spot' style map... they're about to go over a waterfall.

brown and black monkeys if you think the people looking at the application would "get" it...
lions, tigers and bears (oh my!) or maybe rhinos and elephants?
you could go a little bit religious and get some ancient egyptian gods, or have snakes about to fall into the raft? I don't know... I seem to be stuck on the animal idea... maybe some large insects flying about?
You could get tribesmen peering at the raft, or some such nonsense.
Think Goonies styles, and maybe actually make pictures on the map with quirky names...
are they wearing any jewlwery? Do they have knapsacks, or machetes (sp?)?
Vultures, or other birds of prey...
tropical plants of all kinds.

Still inconclusive on this little project. I've broken down the theme 'wild adventure' into 6 or 7 areas. It needs iconic images representing each one of these concepts, without straying too far into any one theme as to invalidate the 'wild adventure' title -

Travel - (some vehicle, biplane, raft, jag convertable, hot air balloon)
Danger - (animal or otherwise)
Money - (the Phat Lewt, treasure)
Sex - (exotic woman or something romantic)
Action - (skiing, skydiving, rockclimbing etc)
Location - (mountain, mayan temple, taj mahal etc)
Plan - (globe, treasure map etc)

Unfortunately they need to be strictly G rated and politically correct, to the extreme that I can't even include a firearm, however a scimitar or crossbow would be OK. (go figure) so far I have two variants - the 'Indiana Jones' one (which I will avoid, because *everyone* will do that) and the 'Mrs Peel' one which has a lot of potential...

so, anyone want to have a stab at it now?

I thought every possible original generic G-rated design for lame themes like that were already all drawn in the 70s, and collected by church groups.
