A bit of a quandry

If I have any hardware acceleration at all with my Geforce 2 and I'm running Windows XP it crashes after a few hours (if I'm lucky it takes that long). If I even have it on at it's most basic setting it causes a crash.

Microsoft says it's a hardware problem, not a software one, but Windows XP is the ONLY OS I've had this problem with. Linux and BeOS worked just fine without a hitch, even with 3D support compiled in for Linux.

Anyone else had this problem with the Geforce 2, or is this a unique problem?

Sounds unique. Have you tried downclocking the card(easiest way to see if it's a heat related problem).

Also, it's worth making sure you have the latest AGP gart driver for your motherboard. It may be that the WinXP drivers are acting up.

It's not AGP, it's PCI. And it isn't a problem with overheating. The Microsoft report-thing said it was that it was getting stuck in an infinite loop and would eventually just crash as it tried to wait to use the thing and then it would wait and wait and wait. Then zonk.
