My predictions:

MN Twins vs Oakland Athletics 3-2
MN Twins vs Anaheim Angels 4-2
MN Twins vs SanFran Giants 4-3

we're sweeping California under the rug. Can we work the Dodgers in here somewhere? I want total CA ownage.

btw, did you see the shots of Selig sitting in Polhads luxery box? Heheh he vowed to sit in the public seats with the MN fans if the Twins go to the world series. Nobody hates Selig (or Polahd) more than MN fans.

yeah, we got rocked (in one inning) today. i was really pissed, how do you go into the bottom of the 7th with a two run lead and the best bullpen in MLB and give up 10 fucking runs? i threw the remote into the wall (and broke both the wall and the remote) halfway through that inning, muted the TV, and went online.

I listened to the postgame (local) twins fanline radio show, and they put it in perspective for me though, and i feel a bit better. The Angels are the hottest team in baseball, look at what they did to the Yanks for christs sake. Our starters fought balls out (as did theirs), my god if anyone watched the last 3 games, that was dueling to the max. Any team couldve taken any of the games, minus the 7th innings. The angels are hot, and the twins did their job. They took one of the smallest payrolls in baseball, fought off contraction, a strike, dwindling attendence, and gave millions of people a great season. Even more importantly, we made Sehlig and Pohlad look like morons.

We'll be back next season with a virtually unchanged lineup. We just missed the postseason last year with this lineup, made AL series this year, WSC next year. I can't be mad at a bunch of local AAA league boys who were recruited to fill a roster with no payroll, and took on the big leages to come in the top 4. Theyd get a big pat on the ass from me.

I need to check the sports news. I heard the Giants were ahead last night, but I'm betting they lost.

There's something wrong with having all these California teams.

& I think it's pretty awesome the Twins did that well. Especially after that jerk almost got rid of them.


... the Giants won? Oh shit.

It should be against the rules for two teams from the same state to be in the Series. BAH. Maybe they'll lose tonight.

yeah, the yankees/mets series in 2000 (i think) was all hyped up as such an exciting rivalry. sure, maybe for people who live in NY, but for the rest of the world your choices were to root for New York, or root for New York. fucking boring.

I'm pulling for St.Lois because 2 california teams will just be lame.

The Subway Series was horrible for TV, it had the lowest raitings ever for a World Series by some absurd amount. I'm pulling for the Giants, I wanna see Bonds win a ring, and I think more people would tune in to see Bonds going for it than if it were the Cards vs the Angels.

hehe, i agree. the biggest annoyance for me is the dangly faggot earing on Bonds. my god, how embarrassing. if youre a 16 year old kid rebelling in the 90's, fine get an earing and piss off your parents. but come on, a 30 year old man in 2002?

I'm not big on either club, but i say anaheim all the way. they've never even been to a world series, gotta root for the underdog.
