You have the right to remain silent
Not in the UK you don't. These are our rights, if you can call them that:
'You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court'
In other words, if you stay quiet we can assume guilt. If you produce an alibi in court after staying quiet it means jack shit. RANT RANT RANT 
Oh yeah, you get a lawyer to if you can't afford one
