What we've been up to. A bit of a catch-up.

What've I been missing? I've been in and out so much it seems as if the last time I was actually a part of this place (if at all) was long ago.

As usual I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life...I've sent out a few of my college apps for Fall 2004 (U of I, Amherst, Thomas More, Northwestern) and for the moment am very tired of writing essays. But this activity, while productive, is really only busywork compared to the real task of figuring out who I am and where I want to go with this life thing. It seems as if there is a great yawning gulf, a great pit, into which I will fall once I leave the protected shelter (sic) of military service, and I had better be oriented right when I do, or else I'm not going to wind up where I want to go.

But where do I want to go?

That, and several failed attempts to make time with the fairer sex, pretty much sum up my existence for the past couple months.

That, and a lot of deck-swabbing.

What's going on with everyone else?

Well since youve been gone PMG, Morde, Sabine, Pj and Phil have left the asylum.
And also we are planning a spring break piss up here in Va Beach which could be lots of fun.
Me personally I start training monday (hopefully) for my new career, I managed to find something I would enjoy doing in the real estate business so I wont have to sell it (Im no sell person).
This way I can be part of the business my aunt in law has started up and not wholly hate what I do.

As for me, I've been informed that my job has been expanded to a 40 hour position but had to decline in order to stay in school, so I will be unemployed shortly. I'm working on the whole college application thing as well, except I'm applying for my graduate work. Also, I finally got enough lab results and second opinions and the like to prove to my doctors that I should be on a medication that I've needed for two years - which means that soon I will have a somewhat normally functioning endocrine system, hopefully reducing my odds of getting full-blown diabetes (my risk is currently very high).

I wish you luck with your decisions and steps to venture into the civilian world.

I actually started working at my job severely biting into my internet fuck-off time.
I recently ran across a print on ebay entitled "Raid of the Sabine women" and thought of you all.
I am getting ready to move into a new home. I just returned from a Colorado hunting trip.

I had drinks with Mugtoe in a nice quiet pub in SW London on Sunday. Quiet until he started shouting about Texas manlove to Weaselspoor. Smug had to remind Mugtoe that he was an abomination in the eyes of god, and besides, it was his round. Literally had to drag him out of the pub with a promise to carry on drinking at some further point in the week.

Nice guy, Mug. Knowledgeable and articulate. My favourite kind of person.
