Oh yes, in this sense it means 'very'; same as it does when you say 'jolly good'.

NB: Use of either of those phrases is restricted to mucking about, or else being a chinless inbred public school boy twat (remembering that public schools here are the poshest private schools) who only exerts himself whilst playing polo and has no understanding of the word 'salary'.
