i got a laptop with windows xp, but i dont know the admin password, and i dont have an xp disk or id just re-install it. so, any easy way to crack it or do i have to install windows2k over it?

thx macker, but by pure luck i was able to guess the password (it was the same as the computer name). thank god, after reading that link it looks like it's a serious pain in the ass to fix such a situation.

Yes it is, if you don't use one of the commercial solutions and have very little knowledge of how Linux works(messing around mounting drives is not for the faint of heart).
