For the young of body (and mind) amongst us, it's John Lennon. Founding member of The Beatles. It's his birthday. The text in my signiture here is the day he was shot and killed my Mark Chapman. Let's not dick around here, Lennon was music. If you've missed him, you need to quickly reassess your record collection and spend some cash at the store, post haste.

I know I'm taking tack's post at face value, but it's just conceivable that someone of 15 years may not know. If it was a joke ... erm ... 'good one', or something.

I wasn't a mad fan of his music. In fact the song i like the best of his was some jazz funk effort he did before he was killed. (i would be grateful if you could let me know what it was called)

My father thought Lennon and Jaques Brel spoke with the authority of prophets and in the tone of Shakespere, so its not like i didn't give him a try.

But I will say this the world is poorer without him (and with Yoko)
