Tremble

Tremble
As I do in the night
Tremble with my heart and soul
The ache of being lonely reaching into each and every last crevasse
I remember what I’ve been through
In hopes the pain would equal and cancel out the loneliness
But it digs deeper
Making me tremble all the more
A tremble, a quake racing through my veins
The ice it sends, builds, breaking into the matchstick fort that is my heart
Knocking away more and more in the process
A tear courses with my trembles tonight
Light of hope tainted by the pain I run from
Tonight as I tremble
Alone in my sorrow and sanity
I give consideration to my actions
What you do is what you get
Loneliness and fear make me feel so small
The feeling of being little and weak makes my world quake again
Quake and tremble beneath my already unstable feat
For the fear of falling
I tremble
For the fear of feeling
I tremble
For the fear of THIS,
I tremble
