Encouraging terrorism.

I've been thinking.

What got me thinking was the way a thread ran a few days ago. I was and still am adamant that there is no link between Al Queda or whoever is responsible for WTC affair and Saddam Hussein. This met with some disagreement, I am of the opinion that Bush and his cronies have milked the public feeling of disgust at the actions of 911 and used it as a catalyst to acheive a goal conceived years before that event.

I almost posted in that thread that if there isn't a link between Al Queda and Hussein, then Bush is not only doing his best to make it appear that there is one, but will probably actually create one with his antics in Iraq.

Then the old grey matter started ticking over, I remembered how Phil descibed the Thatcheresque way of dealing with terrorism, "don't let it breath, stifle it, publisizing it only fuels the flames". Bush doesn't seem to have read that speech, or has he?

Now the Bush government have made it clear that he finds the 911 attack to be a political windfall, read about the "trifecta" statements in the beating about the Bush thread.

Now Bush is charging into Iraq, one thing is for certain is that he is going to piss off a lot of Muslims, many people think that he will be encouraging fanatics to commit acts of terrorism by doing so.

Is this what he wants? Is it possible that he wants the US and their interests to be the victims of further terrorist attacks so he can continue on his merry way throughout the Middle East?

Is it too callous to say that a couple of high rises full of cubicle workers is a small price to pay for a shot at world domination?

Question, the 15 billion worth of contracts that Bush has granted to US companies to be paid for by Iraqi oil, will that go someway to sorting out the US economy, or will another few oil nations need a regime change, and quickly?

OK, I've stopped thinking now.
