It'd be simpler if they'd just put the monitoring implants inside our eyes if they want to help us be good. The computer technology will change and require them to modify their solution all of the time, but we are taking our eyes with us everywhere we go.

I hope they realize that internet petitions mean jack shit. This bill would also have the entertainment industry lobbyists (like the RIAA and MPAA) working overtime to ensure enough pockets were lined to pass the bill. I also doubt the claims of the website that users of operating systems like Linux, BSD, etc. would face jail time for not using the "policeware." AND even if they did go along with it and put it in their OS since it is open source it wouldn't be too hard to track down the code, remove it, and recompile (I'd assume this would have to be placed in the kernel). Even if it's anywhere else (userland) it should be easy to remove.
