Is anyone aware that its the NFL draft soon?
And im hoping that Philly will be drafting Haynes from Penn State (or hoping that Suggs will drop a significant way and the the Eagles can trade up to get him, or McDougal). Who do you hope your team will pick up at the draft?

dont you mean the Bungals. but seriously, i think the Bengals will do better next year, i think the new coach there (Lewis) will have a tough time but i have hopes for him. I do wonder whether or not he will draft Carson Palmer as predicted or whether they will actually manage to trade down as it has been rumoured .

I think the real question is: Who gives a damn that a bunch of big monkey men are going to be traded back and forth like schoolyard toys and baseball cards?

People seem to think the Lions will pick up Charles Rogers. I hope they trade the number 2 pick for 5 guys in the second round. High picks for the Lions are notoriously a waste of money.

My thoughts on the draft:
-The Texans need a playmaker for their young QB, if Rogers is available (though he probably WON'T be) they will take him, if not, they will take Andre Johnson
-Chicago will take Byron and he will turn out to be a stud. Five years from now, he will be the steal of the draft
-Larry Johnson won't go until the late second round, but he will have a good NFL career
-Willis McGahee will go suprisingly early, but recover even more surprisingly quickly
-And yes, the Bengals will ruin Palmer

Pats picked up some major defensive free agent signings and have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds (2 in the first). Could be a sweet season. They need another defensive lineman to free up pressure on Seymour, that man will be a nightmare for offences if they have to pay attention to another DT and Colvin and a hopefully healthy McGinest. If they can make teams have to pass against them they could have a formidable defence. Look for alot of blitzes early in games to try and shut down the run and force pressure. They do that anyway but now they may have the potential to back it up for a whole game. Should be the most improved defence in the NFL.
Waiting to see if they trade up for a higher pick, Tebucky Jones is traded for two more picks this year and one next year. 13 picks this year overall, they could be looking to package picks to trade-up into the top 10. I hope they keep the picks and add some depth.
Guessing OT's and LB's in later rounds.
