It is good news, although I still think that we will go down. Mind you, Brooking scored the winning goal in the 1980 FA Cup final when we were in the (then) second division (promoted that season too, I believe) so it might not be al; bad.

You;re not gone yet. You need a win and 2 draws and the hope that Bolton lose their next three. They have Arsenal, Soton , and Middlesborough left. You have Man City, Chelsea, and Birmingham.

see i dont want West Ham to go down either, but they face Chelsea soon (like Saturday I think) and that will be a really important match for both sides. Chelsea are third at the moment and still need to win there remaining games to cement their place in the champions league, and West Ham are, well fighting for their Premiership lives. Hopefully Liverpool will lose, Newcastile will lose , Everton will draw, and Chelsea can draw and at least that way West Ham can get a point.

If we go down, it isn't likely that we will hold onto Cole. If he and West Ham can wring some more money out of Ken Bate's creditors before the receivers are called into, good luck, I guess. We stand to lose a few good players from the squad (Kanoute, for example). Such is football.

Used to work with a Hammers supporter, way back when.

His opinion was that he prefered it when they were winning their games, i.e. relegation is a bonus.
