I've heard this titled "The Devils" as well, I think. I've read "The Idiot" and the "Brothers Karamazov", but never this book. I started "Crime and Punishment" but got distracted early into it.

The blurb on the back of the book states, "The Possessed is regarded the world over as the most shattering vision of nihilism in action to come out of Russia". That's rather big talk, but it's a big book. I think the heft of the book is a good sign. So I'll be tied up for a week or two readin this book. Has anyone here read it?

I should add that the BrosK is one of my top ten favorites, I think.

Is there a point to this forum anymore? Couldn't all this happen in SO? I don't have a stake in it either way, but this gets far less traffic than the art forum ever did.
