june carter cash
I have no idea what she ever sang but I read Johnny Cash's autobiography Cash, and when I saw that she had died I felt bad for him. Its not too often you see a man as open about his feelings for a woman as Johnny was for June.
I hope this doesn't mean he's going soon too.

"Jackson" for one (with Johnny), which is enough on it's own to make this a sad day for country.

Tis a sad, sad day. I hope Johnny can hang in there a while longer, though I know his passing is only inevitable.

Yeah, real sad news. She was as much a female trailblazer in country music as anybody else that normally gets the credit.
And, honestly, the actual death saddens me less than its affect on Johnny himself.
Man I'm not looking forward to the day that man dies.

Trivia: She co-wrote "Ring of Fire," which is a song about the two falling in love.

The day after she died, I played "Ring of Fire" over and over. Sure, it was the Social Distortion cover of it...but still. And yeah, not so much saddened over her death but as to how it'll affect the man in black.
