So the theme of the entire movie seemed to be based around two concepts, truth and choice. There are some other things that I had running through my head last night after seeing it and I'd love to hear what you people think. To do this though, I think it'd be easier to work backwards.

First off, WHERE are the main characters at the end of the movie? I can think of a few possibilities. They might still be in the Matrix, except they do not realize it yet and somehow there is a program where they actually think they've come out and yet are still in, possibly trapped inside the Matrix. OR maybe there is a bigger picture, a Matrix within the Matrix. OR... maybe Neo is really dead and all this is his afterlife.

Next, is the Architect telling the truth? What did Neo REALLY choose by stepping through that door? Consider this: if the program has a flaw that the "one" keeps appearing in the scheme of things, I think it throws things up so far in the air that there is no knowing what is the actual program and what is earth.

My last main question: what is the deal with Smith? I think I can somewhat pinpoint why he and Neo are connected, I understand why he can duplicate himself, yet if you saw the trailer for the last movie... WHY HIM? HOW HIM? I don't understand why he is what Neo seemingly has to defeat in the end.

And just for things I noticed, I'm surprised Neo didn't go superspeed fighting like he did at the end of the first movie. Not once.

I don't know where to begin. The guys who wrote took a beginner philosophy course and then screwed it all up by putting all this useless mumbo jumbo in the film.

But, you just made me really like this movie by saying how they could still be in the Matrix, or etc. By the way, wasn't everyone supposed to die when Neo chose Trinity?

As for Agent Smith, it's called The Matrix Revolutions.

Blah boo skippy, I'm gonna have to go see it again. Bastards!

your questions, in order..

Yes, at the end they're in the matrix. When they think they're in the matrix 'proper' they're actually in the meta-matrix. This implies that there is one matrix inside another matrix inside the real world, but in fact, it's matrixes ALL THE WAY DOWN.

As for the architect question, the REAL question here is - "IS DECKARD A REPLICANT?!?" and the other question is "Does Keanu Reeves' boyfriend know that he's dating an artificial simulacrum?!!"

Agent Smith is the arch nemesis because he is the Anti-Neo, they have that whole "I created you? Oh, ho, ho! You created me!" thing going on, like Batman and the Joker.

Neo DID go superspeed fighting, but you saw it from his temporal perspective. This is because they had better cameras to film it with this time around.

I'm curious as to how the hell you would notice something like that? When I looked, I saw a screen with Nazi's on it. Pffft, I get stuck with the obvious, less propagandistic, screen. There is no choiSSS!

I have a perverse affinity for reading about movies whether I've seen them or not. I probably won't see the movie itself for at least a few weeks.

the only thing that could be hard fact to them still being in the matrix even when they think they are out, is the part when neo says he feels the sentinals.

and yes at the end everyone did die they said except the "smith" infected guy

as to the question about why does neo have to destroy smith or something like that. I believe it might have something to do with thier "connection" smith was talking about, it possibly could have messed up the equations and perfect math within the matrix (assisde from neo) so now there is possibly 2 math annomolies within the matrix.

Another thing , if neo returned to the source he woulda had to choose 16 females and 7 males to repopulate zion, ,to me .....thats a damn nice ratio heh

im probly missing some other points that have been twiddling in my brain for a bit maybe i will think of them alittle later

But if he chose Trinity, even the Matrix was suppose to be destroyed too! (as in all the humans killed)??? Maybe that's in the next one. ekmfemflkmfwelk
