book revisions
stephen king just released a revised edition of the original dark tower book this week.
in it, he fixes some of the mistakes in continuity he made the first time, because when he originally wrote it he didn't know it was going to end up being a series story. he changes the bad guy characters a bit, specifically, the man in black doesn't die and the beast waiting at the tower is now "the ageless stranger". there's even some talk that the creature from "it" will be involved, which would be hella cool.
however, that being said, how do you feel about an author changing the history of his story? i'm a little uncomfortable with it. i feel like king has been watching the star wars franchise a little too closely.
do you think that this is a good thing or a bad thing?
