I know theres books out there on it...I even saw one '...For Dummies' last I looked...but Id like to know if anyone here has ever had a book published or knows someone who has...I need to know everything...including the basics of contracts and all that shit...anyone know anything?? It all helps.

Ps. saying 'work on your grammar/syntax' is not a helpful comment.

Not since my colostomy, I'm not.

Not that I have the tiniest of clues about it, but self-publishing seems to be a viable option these days, considering how much information there is available on it.

If you have a contract with a publisher you have questions about, maybe you should pay a lawyer to look at it.

An old friend of mine got a book published called A Matter of Time. What a shitload of work. I've been periferally involved since he started writing it (I'm even mentioned in the acknowledgements... whoopee).
He has spent as much time publishing, promoting and marketing as he did writing it, or more.

I don't want to sound discouraging though, I think it is well work the effort.
