Yep. Been writing a lot lately, too. Having weird things happen to you is good for writing.

I think if half creativity that goes in to the forum was put into stories, The Asylum would 0\/\/N its competetors.

What competitors? Competitors for what exactly? What are we competing for? Is there some goal we're all moving towards as a group? If so, how come it ain't spelled out somewhere so I can get on board with it?

i can't reject the terms of the conflict and renounce both sides unless someone tells me what it is.

ps. no, i don't write. i think about it on occasion, but books are too long for my poor brain and i don't like short stories.

I used to write every day. I have several books half finished and I kept a daily journal for years. But one day the words just dried up. No warning, no reason I can figure out, just nothing. I've got a huge case of writers block.

Keeper of the Crapper.

Fear the Flush.

I used to write. Was even published a few times (short stories), but quit.

Now I am writing again, short stories to a common theme, and intend to compile them as chapters of a book one day. I am also working on a novel.

BP should write/draw cartoons. I thought the ones you did in IOD were great. At one point in time a friend of my mom's who lives in Cleveland wanted me to draw political cartoons that he wrote. He used to have a guy locally that would draw the cartoons and they were able to get published pretty often. Somewhere I still have the letter I got from the Detroit News telling me that my cartoons were not up to their standards. Anyways, he told me that you get like something like $35 - $45 for having a cartoon published. Successful strips can appear in 2,500+ papers. Every day. That's a lot of money. He said the guy who draws Ziggy lives around Cleveland somewhere in a gigantic house. When you look at some of the strips that run nationally, they are horrible.

Anyways, I don't write, but I should. My memory is horrible and a journal of some sort would be a good idea for my own reference.

thanks, but i'm not sure i could do that. the paint thread is fun, but it's all suggested by you guys. i doubt i could come up with much on my own, i have trouble with focus. especially on "creative" endeavours. i could really drop anything at any time, i kind of just do what comes to mind. if i could get someone to send me articles around which to base a cartoon and if a newspaper would let me use paint i could do it maybe.
or if i was better at the internet i could maybe make a comic.

i'll be the idea man and you can be the artist, i can even throw in some tracing if you want. of course, being the creative inspiration, i will demand 80% of our profits.

You're supposed to pay him a flat rate and take ALL the profits, then write off your whole lifestyle on your taxes.

Ahh yes, the Asylum RPG. Haven't thought of that one for awhile. I had Mod status from that for a bit. I remember I had to give up running it because of my father. I started taking him daily to the hospital for chemo treatments and needless to say it blew whatever creativity I had out of the water.

It's odd, but now I realise that this time frame was when my writer's block really setup like stone. Haven't been able to write much of anything since.

Are there any of the other posts from the old RPG still around, it would be funny to read them again after all this time.
