Although they take up a great proportion of my allotted space I haven't really got a whole lot of books; nevertheless I have some good ones, and I'm sure some of you must have some as well.

How about starting up a lending library of some sort?

Ie have a link on the main page for the book list, maybe even with a short synopsis or critique by the owner, where you can see what you want and then borrow it from a forumite...borrower pays S&H coming and going and promises reimbursement in case of loss or damage. Seems simple.

Anyway it's just an idea I had and I'm sure it's been proposed before. Nevertheless...any takers?

Seems kinda dangerous. I love my books more than my kids, mostly cause i don't have kids yet. I'd love to read more than what my library contains, so i'd give it some thought if there is a large group.

BTW, anyone got the anarchists cookbook?

I think it's an awsome idea .. the only downside is that the only books that I have that are worth lending are currently spoken for .. but when my mom's done with them I would be happy to pass them around.

I don't loan books. There's libraries for that, and interlibrary loan. Loanin books is like sharin a glass a milk. It's kinda personal. I steal books; I give books away on occassion. I never loan them out. I never got them back when I tried it before. Ever.
