I don't get it....why would they shoot that woman if they're going to pay someone to make her look 80% different afterwards? Why not just find a different model, who actually fits their needs?

oh come on, zoey. everyone gets this done to their pics. there is no such model to "fit their needs", because no one is perfect. this is what so many young girls destroy themselves trying to accomplish. i'm going to find some anorexia and bulimia sites to post this on.

If the person is famous already, say Ms Aguilera, and perhaps not looking her best even though a part of her success depends on her appearance, then it makes sense that they would try to photoshop her better, given the investment in making her famous in the first place.
