I wish I could live somewhere where there are no lights visible from space.

But even in those places on the satellite photo, there are still lights.
Everyone wants lights.
They even shine lights on their property from their porch at night, as if to showcase it for someone. It sucks.

Those images (even though I have seen those, or ones remotely similar on NOAA's webpage) look like they were done with paintshop.

Why is it that remote parts of Canada, Central America and South America appear blue, as do some tiny pockets of the US, but in the blackout area everything is black?
