Possible sniper in Columbus Ohio
So yesterday I meet up with one of the guys I work with off and on. Dan is a retired police officer. He had been going out to a vacant house to shoot a virtual tour for me, but was way late coming back. I was giving him shit about not knowing how to use the digital camera but he said, "man, 270 is locked up tight, they had 3/4 of the force, swat, emt, fire, guys in suits, fucking everybody out there running through the woods and searching the fields."
damn...
After speculating for awhile we both decided if it was anything big it'd be in the news tomorrow.

10TV Eyewitness News has learned that a task force is being assembled to deal with a series of unsolved shootings that may be related.
The agencies, including the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, the Columbus Police Department, and the FBI, meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday. No one is prepared to talk about this publicly, but we are told there will be information released later Wednesday afternoon.
Gail Knisley, 62, was killed by a bullet that sailed onto I-270 west of Route 23 near Grove City and pierced the car in which she was riding. An autopsy confirms Knisley died of a single gunshot wound in her side. The bullet that killed her has been recovered.
All of the shootings in question occurred around the South Outerbelt. One happened way back on May 10th, but the others have all occurred since October 11th. One occurred on October 19th, three from November 17-21, and two shootings yesterday: the one that killed Gail Knisley, and another shooting around 2 p.m. toward a man who was going home to Pickaway County.
We have also heard from what appears to be a ninth victim, a man whose car was hit about three weeks ago on Alkire Road just off Route 62.
Seems that the police knew about these ongoing shootings but nothing has been made public till there was an injury. Now that the news broke, people with bullet holes in their cars have started coming out of the woodwork. Most people seem to think it's just dumb, drunk, ohio hunters. But here's what they haven't said in the news. The stretch of highway where these shootings are occurring has a 3 foot concrete barrier on either side. You cannot see over it while traveling in a standard vehicle. The entry hole on this lady's car yesterday was just above mid door on the driver side of the vehicle. It literally passed the driver by inches and struck the passenger in her left side. These are not stray bullets coming down elseware than intended. There's some mutherfucker in a tree out there whispering "just don't lead them so far...".
