so besides eating turkey and hanging out in front of the tv, what are you going to do today? does anyone else have the traditional "get all the xmas decos out and start getting frustrated" ritual? it's always been a rule at our house that we don't decorate until thanksgiving.

Sigmo just left for his aunt and uncle's house for the afternoon. He said he'd bring me back some leftovers. Family's a big deal for him, so I'm glad he went. I'm hangin out here and doin laundry and waitin on Ryan to stop by and drop somethin off. I like Thanksgiving, but this just isn't the year. I've had forty of em so far with all the attendant family stuff, and that is likely enough for a while.

Made a couple phone calls to various people unlucky enough to merit my personal attention on holidays, my holiday meal turned out perfectly, best Ive ever done. We all ate got high off the turkey hormones that put us into a coma like sleep, woke up, brushed our teeth and now I’m getting ready for my Christmas tree decorating "party" that will happen as soon as a few unmentionable over stuffed merkins get off their fucking ass and get over here.

what we had at grandma's:

-the black forest cake I made and everyone went nutty over.

-cheesecake

-a big fucking VAT of chocolate/banana pudding

-pumpkin pie

-sweet potato pie

-white chocolate/dark chocolate brownies

-cream puffs of some sort

-spinach dip in hawaiian bread

-turkey

-flaky layer rolls

-sweet potatoes with pecans

-sweet potatoes without pecans

-green bean casserole

-sausage, walnut, and cornbread stuffing

- peas

-brandy glazed baby carrots

-mashed potatoes with white sausage & pepper gravy

-a huge platter of designer cookies. fucking DESIGNER cookies. wtf?

-kahlua and coffee

- white zinfandel wine


I had the turkey, peas, green bean casserole, and mashed potatoes.

had no room for dessert or anything after that. I didnt drink any alcohol, either. just water. i dunno why they were drinking. none of them are big on drinking.
