Anyone who gets free long distance should give it a call and tell me what they think that is. My "neato I wish I had it before" caller id is telling me its coming from Toronto, though that probably means nothing and It could be like a like a proxy service or someshit. it forwards me to a mailbox and says "you have reached the mailbox of ...then come the sound of static like some one held the phone up to a staticy tv when it came time to leave their name...its really creepy and childish...but flattering that someone took the time to do this all for little ole me...if that is the case.

more than likely it is a telemarketing service that is using one of those computer dialer services. you know the ones- you answer the phone, and there are two or three clicks and someone says "hey, how's it going ms.jones?". a lot of telemarketing services are supposedly trying to beat the do not call list by moving into canada and other foreign-type parts of the world.

at least you can't blame inky anymore, she lives in the us now.

hmmm sound like random wardiallers to me

theres a thing in the uk recently where the telesales folk have discovered the art of wardiallers
what the do is batch dial a heap of numbers and then wait for people to pick up
I think they have a 10 call ratio so if your the tenth caller they dial you will get disconnected
