apparently Roman Abramovich actually walked into highbury and made a formal offer of £50 million to arsenal. this is all coming from arsenal though, so im not sure how much stock i would put into it. but chelsea has the money, but i could see chelsea picking up a young striker like van der vaart or someone eles from europe. someone like henry though, im not so sure ^_^

they didnt bid. there was an inquiry. arsenal told chelsea he is not for sell at any price.

having said that, if they afford £50M or so, arsenal (the shareholders) would not say no.

he is simply an individual. and he is not worth £50M.

i agree. if you sell henry, then you will need to replace him. but then spending £50M on a replacement will never happen, so why sell him in the first place. of course, there is always the next big thing around the corner somewhere. its a risk.
