Einstein's Riddle..

This may have been posted here before. But I'll try my luck as I found this festering on my HD. There is a solution to this riddle.

EINSTEIN'S RIDDLE

1) There are five houses in five different colours. In each house lives a person of different nationailty.

2) The five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet.

3) No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.

The question is "Who owns the fish"

Facts:

The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
The green house's owner drinks coffee.
The person that who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the centre house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man that smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to blue house.
The man that smokes Blends has a neighbour who drinks water.

Einstien wrote this riddle this last century. He said 98% of the world could not solve it.

It can be done! Be part of the 2% that could.

It may help to print this out to work on a solution.

I can't believe that only 2% of people could do that. It isn't that hard.

It just doesn't seem like over 4 years ago since the last century. So many people can read now.

Last century = the century before one was born.

You should have known that.

Some of the sites seem to say that Einsten wrote the riddle early in the 19th century, which was some going given that he had yet to be born at that stage.

I would say that popular convention is that centuries (like, 'the twentieth century') are pretty much labelled by the calendar, rather than from more important events such as my birth year.
