I missed the part of the State of the Union where Bush mentioned he was going to spend millions of taxpayer money to drug test high school students and then I missed the debate about it here and the rancor over it that engulfed the internet.

Surely no one thinks this is a good idea, right? Do we really want a government running biological tests on our kids to check up on their behavior? What happens if someone refuses? Forced urination? Blood tests? Suspension or expulsion? Is it a school or government's role, much less job, to do this kind of thing? If parents want it done, they can do it themselves.

For fuck's sake, this had better not go into effect. People get all bent about school uniforms but don't even peep at something like this?

where to news? don't let me get in your way, by any stretch .. I'm just wondering where you're going to go that's any better than where you are. that is unless of course you're an e popping high school senior over there in the hills of beverly .. in which case you could probably just ask your parents to dip into your trust fund and ship you to some third world country to sleep with under aged prositutes when 'they' come to your school to do the testing.

let me see if I can give you a run down, nute

first you posted about the current administration in the US wanting to do drug testing in our highschools.. you asked a couple of questions and kicked the thread off proper.

then badnews stated that he wanted to get the hell out in a hurry .. I would imagine this is because he doesn't like the idea of highschool students being drug tested

which brings us to my post where I asked badnews where he would go and poked fun at the idea that he may be in highschool and that's why he wanted to run away.

then you posted again saying that things weren't clear to you

which brings us up to this post in the thread where I walk you through all that's happened so far.

are we all on the same page now?

If parents would pay more attention to their kids and disipline them the way that kids should be disiplined, the problems with drugs might not be so bad. I agree, if parents are so concered about their children and drugs, they should waste their money and not the tax payers money. If a law does go into effect then that means the parents voted it in, right?

god damn. yup...in a time where our president defines himself as a 'war president' and because he has some dellusion in which he is some kind of american paragon leading america through times of crisis, we should all stomach a huge national defecit, a slow economy, and more military related expenditures. and at the same time we can tack on federal appropriations to test our kids to see if they are on 'THE REEFER'
