They actually did a few national pieces about this, JEB. I caught one on 20/20 (or 60 Minutes, or whateverthefuck it was). The woman does it with the full consent of her husband, and they even showed some of the parties. They're pretty much exactly how the article describes them. Just a lot of middle-aged women giggling and having a good time, pretty innocent really (not like they demonstrate the things, it really is just like a tupperware party).

With all due respect, Hawley, I gotta disagree with you. Texas is a wonderful state, even though their various college football programs are, at best, mediocre. And this particular problem shouldn't be any more of an indictment against all Christians than Osama Bin Laden should be reason to condemn all Muslims.

Naaah, sounds to me like a problem just about every place in th'country has from time to time -- a few soreheads causin' a fuss.

actualy...that "fucking Christians and their silly things" was not just related to that article, i spent a good part of my life around very religious Christians, and my opinion is that Christians are silly. i do respect them for holding on to faith and believing in god no matter what, but enough is enough...stories like the one posted above get on my nerves

Yeah, I know. Suppose, however (and I'd wager it's only a matter of time before it happens, if it hasn't already), an enterprising woman takes it a step farther and incorporates demonstrations into her pitch? I don't see how it could be described as obscene, especially if done in the privacy of someone's home, with full consent, and all adult women present. I don't see how that'd be any different than incorporating a video demonstration into the sales party.

I'll always have a big problem with the state intruding into what goes on among consenting adults in private. And, yes, I know you would, too.

indeed..i used to know a priest who worked at a local hospital..which in it self isn't very interesting or note worthy..but what he did at that hospital was quite something

he worked with cancer patiants and long term patiants...he watched people die, he was there sitting next to them telling them that it was going to be allright and not to worry.

he had been working there for years..and it was starting to have its effect on him, mentaly that is, made him sad i think..but despite watching all those people die he never lost faith, never questioned god. i think i can safely say that this man is the baravest man ive ever known in my entire life

that is just one of the good christians that ive known ... there have been others that made me feel ashamed to part of the human race, like this quote
