Having access to top-secret nuclear sites, and knowing all the top military codes and soft/hardware, the computers blackmail the human race into being nice to one another.

It was originally a sci-fi story, then was made into a pretty cool movie years ago. The book sequel was pretty lame. If you ever get a chance, rent the movie at your local video store. The computer hardware in the flick is a bit dated, but the movie still rocks.
