I understand what you're saying, Ats...
Maybe one way of breaking that cycle is to try a combination of a few things. Whenever you are talking or listening to people, watch them carefully for cues that they might be bored, frustrated, anxious, or whatever. If they are, thank them for listening, and back off. Ask them how they're doing too.
Also, see how many things you can resolve on your own. See what kinds of solitary things make you feel better (and get away from the computer and physics problems a bit! *grin*). Usually, I try to find something new to do, even if it's hokey (like I went on a tree identification binge a few weeks ago), or I write. My hands shake too much to paint these days, but I used to paint a lot as well.
None of this is a perfect or automatic solution to any situation. I hope you find something that works for you. Being conscious of ourselves is both a blessing and a curse.
