Ive been watching it a few days now and not too much discussion, I think its a rather important fucking event...20,000 fucking people? And I have to hear about fucking Micheal Jackson on the news instead?

whoa... good job on tackling it though.

I suspect that all countries would be vulnerable to such a tactic.
I would like to see the follow-up on the specs of the device. Killing 20k people with one device requires some high tech kit, I would imagine.

the bbc as a few articles about it linked above I believe, they have been up for atleast two days now. The articles they have dont have too many details however.

I havent seen newsmax, perhaps they have a better discussion about it.

well I just read it, at least they acknowledged that there could be a tie and that in the least speculation existed that there was stuff being moved. speculation = intell from other countries telling us it was happening and satellite photos of shit being moved before the war i guess.

the aussies and israeli's (perhaps more) intelligence said (before the war while we were at the UN building the coalition) That Iraq was actively moving chemical weapons over the border to syria. We had satellite images of trucks suitable for this purpose going to suspected sites, hanging out then leaving. Who knows, if this is fact or not, more fucking discussion on it is pretty fucking prudent either way me thinks. This shit coming out of Syria may or may not be connected to iraq, but the lack of discussion on it either way is disturbing to me especially with an estimated death count anywhere near what they are speculating.

Im sure if you did a search on the key words you could find some sources to your liking, I have to run in a few.

that's really interesting. and you'd think it would be getting a little more air time, esp. from sources like foxnews and other pro-bush media sources.

although i think the 20,000 speculated deaths is a bit much- i think they're basing it off of the average amount of people in that area for that time period. there were also 50,000-75,000 people estimated to be in the twin towers when they were hit. although a chemical explosion may have higher death potential.

There was a 'chemical bomb' scare here not long ago, although the experts weren't convinced that the chemical in question (osmium tetroxide, or somesuch) was that dangerous and also pointed out that a big explosion can fuck up the chemical itself before it kills anyone.

I've been driving around these last few days, hadn't heard this story.

i think the media is more controlled about reporting things that make people panic

i think some of the govt guys went to the news people and explained what mass hysteria is and that is why we dont hear much about this stuff.

i hear stories at least once a week that i never hear about again, and i think it scares me more than hearing about the follow up!
