Now that mudded is on his way to getting his PhD and Talarohk is close, I thought I take a head count and see who among us has doctorate degrees. I suppose we could use this thread for people to talk about their A.A., B.A., and M.A. degrees as well, but then we'd have to let Smug in. Once Tal gets his, we'll have a special Drs Only thread that he won't ever get to play in.

All of my degrees are in Anthropology: A B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1997, an M.A. from Western Washington University in 1999, and a PhD from Kyoto University, Japan, in 2003.

BA minor in macroeconomics from the Janus Pannonius University, Hungary
BA major in prehistoric archaeology from the University of Aarhus, Denmark
BA minor in Biological anthropology from the U. of southern Denmark
BA completed 2002

MA in Anthropology (mix of archaeology, forensics and demography/epidemiology) Penn State University 2004

PhD... I will start in september... and probably take my dissertation proposal and run by Christmas 2004.
I am basically sticking around for the research design class in the fall... and then I don't think I will be able to suppress my nesting instincts any longer.

Don't forget there's a gal or two on the way to a Ph.D. I turn in my course of study next month, and will likely take my prelims in the summer/fall of 2005.

I have a B.A. in Communication Theory and never want to go back to school---ever! If I ever have to read 4 books and regurgitate them onto the written page for anyone, I'll die. Loved school for the first 3 years, then felt tortured for the 4th. Education is one thing, school is completely another.
