Politicians have sunk to a new, all time low

I was sitting here perusing the forum when my phone rang. I reach over, pick it up and say "hello". The next thing I hear is "This is Al Gore....".

I didn't hear anything else, because I dropped the phone and, briefly, ran from the room quivering with fear.

All is well now, but I think I've got a potential law suit. I fear my phone.

I have to leave now, it's ringing again.....

SO and I eating a veggie stir fry; phone rings. We're going out later tonight with some friends, so I go pick it up.

A recorded female voice tells me: "Hello, I'm calling on behalf of the National Rifle Association's Victory Campaign. Charlton Heston has asked us to call thousands of Americans this weekend to remind them to vote for George Bush...."

Update: I quickly got over my fear of the phone. When next it rang, it was Ruth Anne Minner...she wanted to take a bit of my time to tell me why she should be my governor.

Did I mention that I cannot wait for the elections to be over?
