So, how many of you panty waists are up for a piss up in the woods? A bit of sitting around the fire and drinking, maybe tossing someone in the fire.

No car camping, we'll be backpacking into pike national forest, spending three days cooking our food outdoors, gathering dirt and drinking hard liquor because beer is too bulky for backpacking(maybe, I might be convinced to pack in a small keg if someone carries my clean underwear) and running around the woods acting like filthy heathen hippies.

Long range planning here fuckheads, think next spring, so you have plenty of time to SAVE up money so you can FLY your candy asses out here from your hideyholes on the east coast and experience something other than smog, traffic and expensive cigarettes.

Think about it.

i notice you said Colorado though, perhaps that may be revised but im wholly interested in an asylum camping meet, which is why I suggested it . that has so much potential on so many levels. i hope place is flexible however. Mountains would be cool, but the forest is enough, a creek perhaps and if its in colorade perhaps time of year may need some consideration.

A serious trip is a great idea, but perhaps we could do an intermediate trip that includes car camping. Everyone get ready to head to Idaho last weeks of August/ First weeks of September (Labor Day?). We'll drive up the river and pull into a turnout and let the festival begin.

Whether or not I could make it, I say go with mord's pick. He's familiar with the terrain and knowledgeable about the area; an intangible which, at least in my experience, generally simplifies things which, in turn, tends to greatly enhance the experience.

I know the Idaho area as well as Mord knows Colorado. I'm all up for that trip as well, if the timing works out for me. Odds are that I wouldn't be able to go because I don't have the gear though.

But if we did an Idaho trip, it would require less investment in backpacks etc, out of shape people wouldn't suffer, we'd be able to carry more beer/gear/barbecue/chairs. In the end, even though it's "car camping" we'd still be able to find a place that is remote, quiet, and beautiful. Labor Day weekend might not be a good idea though.

Not trying to compete with Colorado, just offering a midway step. I don't expect this idea to fly, but its viable. For now, if people truly are interested, let's consider the the days following labor day: September 6-9 (tuesday through Friday). If people would be flying, Spokane Washington is your destination. We may have to rent a minivan or something if people are arriving en masse.

BP and CRSR ought to be able to make it, easy. I'm sure pinecrika would tag along and we might even be able to convince WastedPotential to come out of his cave for a couple days.

This wouldn't be hard for me,but alas my family may dislike the idea.

Colorado is a fine choice. You really do need to venture out on foot,though,for hundreds of RV campers with their laptops venture out there on a regular basis.

And remember that most cell phones don't work up there especially if your far from a recieving tower.

Mord came up with a great idea. Everyone else came up with their own. Why not just sign off or on to Mord's and see if he gets a quorum or whatever. He gave you fuckers a year, ffs.

The COS area has plenty of available areas for car camping, as well as the option to head up into wilder country easily. You could have two campsites with car people maintaining a larger home-base and barbaric drunken idiots taking leave of the usual amenities and purposely spending time beneath the top of the food chain further up the trail. And Phorbie, he gave you a year to plan it. Fly, or give yerself more time to drive. It's a year away, gir. We always have time for what's important, and drinking with me is one of the most important things you could plan to do. That, and I"m too considerate of other people's good taste to disrobe in front of cameras, so I'm pissup-safe. I do encourage others to disrobe, however.

Who am I kiddin? There's no way I'll be able to plan and execute that. However, I encourage the idea and poopoo on all you who tried to change it off the bat rather than let it fly on its own merits.
