I don't know much about baseball, although I like it. And I can watch it now I am in the US without staying up all night.

Last two games I have seen on televison have been Red Sox games and the Sox sucked horribly (v Yankees, I think and v Atlanta today). But they haven't always been this bad all season, presumably.

Perhaps I should pursue the pj route and support the Yankees. But I'm thinking Phillies or Mets (both relatively close). I supported Anaheim in the World Series 2002, but Anaheim is a fucking long way away. I was supposed to be going to one of the Mets-Yankees games, but forgot to arrange it, which is a shame.

So, anyhow, Red Sox do appear to suck. Presumably if they weren't up against the Yankees in the same division, it wouldn't be so bad, because they are doing pretty well in comparison to other second-place teams, it seems (I'm assuming that is what the wildcard standings are?).

EDIT: Baltimore, not Atlanta. I also saw the Phillies beat Baltimore today.

I like going to Coors Field to watch the Rocky's play but I don't care much about the score. I like to sit in the lower stands between home plate and first base just so I can watch how incredibly fast those pichers are pitching that ball. These people are not human.Just for that is enough entertainment for me.

The Mets play Philly 15th, 16th in the evening and Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th in the afternoon all at Shea stadium.

No, I did not see the Atlanta game yesterday. I am GLAD I did not watch that game as well, since it would have involved me finding something else to do after the fifth inning... though I could have gotten a lot more accomplished.

You should come down whatever, Vegas. I am great and Weasel is tolerable. And knows lots of famous people. Not that you'll get to meet any.

The 9 runs in one inning (including one for the pitcher, I think) was pretty depressing to watch for Sox fans, I imagine. Everyone in their batting line-up got a run, and one got two, as I recall, in the match as a whole.
