asylum fantasy (AMERICAN) football league

we've got at least 8-12 people in here who are actually interested in sports here, right? i say we start our own head-to-head fantasy football league. i'd prefer a live draft, but we could just do something simple and freeish, a la yahoo, or something, if you guys want.

vegas, d_i, G, pj, you guys are all down, right? who else is interested?

i don't have time to look atm but there's gotta be online services that will host private leagues and facilitate drafts, trades, communication, etc. Even if it costs something reasonable, 10+ people chipping in...

Very good call.

This is the site I use for one of my other leagues: http://www.thecommish.tv/ : it says you can purchase a league through their site with all the fixins for like $35 bucks. Not sure how the draft works (we do it in person), and I'm not sure if thats a relatively good price as far as online leagues go, so I'll keep checking.

Also, we need to get some ground rules straight, i.e. how we wanna do the draft, scoring rules, whether we want a team defense or individual players, how trades will work, etc.

I think it has something to do with the forward pass, which allows players to be off a good distance from the the rest of the players, and makes things like the rush necessary. Since the players that tackle have so much room to build up momentum, the hits are a lot harder (not the scrapes-and-bruises-and-lost teeth hits, the concussion-broken bone- torn ligament hits). Blah blah rugby is so rough, they don't wear protection, and granted, I haven't seen much of it, but I've never seen a player get blindsided by a 200lb defensive end that ran at him from 20 yards away.
