What music are you buying?

Matt just got a little windfall today, so he went out and got us some new music! Here's what he picked up:

Johnny Thunders - You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory 3CD set

Them featuring Van Morrison

Throbbing Gristle's Greatest Hits

Dead Man - the soundtrack. Music by Neil Young

Buzzcocks - A Different Kind Of Tension

Kraftwerk - Computer World

Galaxie 500 - On Fire

Galaxie 500 - Uncollected

Magnetic Fields - i

Pet Shop Boys - PopArt

Trojan Dub Box Set

What did you buy lately at the record store?

i just bought the dresden dolls' self titled release the other day. a two person band a la the white stripes, their sound is unique and refreshing. it's piano and drums, with two songs featuring obscure acoustic guitar. the cd was only 11 bucks at best buy.

The only music I've bought of late are CDs either by friends, or by people I know. Last one was a CD by Strangecloud, whom I mentioned in a previous thread.

Amen.

i saw them last night with black dice. it was pretty great. i missed the first half of their set though, because we were tricked by the mention of "special guests" that did not in fact exist into spending more time drinking.
i bought
black dice - miles of smiles ep
and
br danielson - brother is to son
not fantastic purchases, really. before that i think the last thing i bought was 'fag patrol', by xiu xiu

Today's purchases - and I'm a bit concerned about the expenditure, but it's Matt's money in this case:

Momus - Slender Sherbet

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Party - Intoxicated Spirit

Galaxie 500 - Copenhagen

Ultimate Nina Simone selected by Dianne Reeves

Momus - Stars Forever

Pet Shop Boys - Please

Spirit - The Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus (got this on vinyl for $2.50)
