No need to be sarcastic, I'm not having a go. - You'll notice that "he used a Powerpoint presentation to illustrate world creation, research , architecture, lighting, and concepts for the art direction of Half-Life 2"

They have included photos of the type of architecture and locations which they mimiced when creating HL2. The first one you posted as the lead in to the section on architecture.

Either way, there are photos in there.
