New season, 18 contestants (instead of 16), and man do they look mean.

I'm nearly ashamed I've been looking forward to this so much. I don't normally get into TV shows, much less reality TV (and will continue to mock the UK Big Brother fans), but I really like Apprentice.

Like I said, none of these guys seem to be fucking around.

Andy and Raj are my early favorites from Mosaic. Raj wears Rodney Dangerfield suits and carries a cane for no reason. Andy is the youngest, just graduated Harvard, but he was National Debate Champ (!) in 1999, and it shows.

The women, Maria is cool, Jennifer hung back but also seems okay. Stacie was just insane, and Ivana irritating.

The task this week was to develop a new toy for Mattel & Toys R Us.

[spoiler] The best part, by far, was Pamela ripping on all the kids in the focus group while they were all watching from behind the two-way mirror. Standing next to Mattel executives talking about "That one's chubby. And what's with that kid's haircut? He looks like a character from Dumb and Dumber." Class.

Anyway, good show. Looking forward to the season.

This season of The Apprentice has lost a bit of its edge, mostly because the idea's just grown a little stale. What was up with that Crack Ho on the bitches' team going off on that paranoid frenzy? I hope that when Trump tries to fire her next week she jumps across the board room table and bashes his head in with her Magic Eight Ball.

Really now. He did it to show he had no fear. Dumb move, but he was not the reason his team lost.

Yeah, that was fucked. I don't think he did it to show no fear, I think he basically got fast talked into it. All along it's been obvious he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed; he made a statement as a sort of hypothetical, Trump called him on it, Brad got flustered and took it to far.

Trump kinda had a valid point, but kind of flew off the handle too. Regardless, he just completely handicapped the women for the rest of the season. Brad was the only one with a niche that would come in the least bit handy.

The guys were awesome. Raj and Andy all the way (even Kelly was kind of good).

The second episode was much more engrossing than the first. I agree, Trump did sort of fly off the handle, but he has a good point, anyone who can be talked into putting himself at risk like that is a hell of a liability. Heh, I still can't believe he gave up immunity. Jackass.

I'm back in the UK at the moment, but I did catch two really really shitty new shows before I left. 'Medical Investigations' utterly sucked, as did 'LAX'. Sweet Jesus. 'Medical Investigations' is worse than 'Crossing Jordan', which itself would be a lot more tolerable if the Jordan character was removed altogether.

On a side note and not relating to a new show, David Caruso may be the most annoying person on television.

Episode three was pretty painful to watch. I really felt for Piazza.

you think the guys will lose? that would be a sad day for them if they did. the womens team dont have much going for them now. the only one on their team that seems worth a damn is jen c.
i'm glad stacie finally went. maria needs to go next.
i await the day pam gets fired from the mens team. i dont see how she's doing anything for them. watching her try and sell the ice cream was a joke.
of course, i dont think the women would have sold nearly as much as they did without bradford. he was awesome.
