I was introduced to the Asylum a little over a year ago. In that time, it has become one of my absolute-must-not-miss repeat spots. I honestly think it's one of the best sites on the Internet...but go prepared.

As far as I can tell, the only things which will get you banned are trading in child pornography or making credible threats against members. Other than that, you can be as offensive, insulting, and obnoxious as you like, and you'll never come close to a ban.
What you will get is roasted to a crisp by some of the most articulate, incisive, merciless, and creatively insulting people I've ever come across. Rather than relying on heavy-handed, legalistic solutions to the problems of maintaining a forum, the administrators (who are active participants in the community) seem to have chosen to let actions carry their own consequences, good and bad.

This may sound scary, but there is a positive side, too. Come and check it out. Read the threads, and then sign up and jump in. You don't have to be brilliant or a debate champion to do well here. What you do need is an open mind, a sense of humor, and a willingness to speak your mind. If you've got that--or even if you just want to lurk and enjoy--you've got the makings of an Asylum inmate.

Nice, where in Italy, I've only been to Milan. Your wife speaks italian right? One of these days I need to go with my friend who speaks to see Rome and Florence.

I've been ok. Seperated my scapula back in January being an idiot on my motorcycle, tankslapped a wheelie @ 100mph - pretty lucky I walked away from it. Been bumping back between miami and panama on business, haven't been back in nyc in the longest damn time. Terrorism and lousy weather vs. hurricanes, great fuckin places I live.
