I had to drive home from work just now to pick up something I forgot to bring in.

On the way back, there were these enormous yellow garbage truck-looking vehicles with the words "Power in Solidarity" written on the side of them. I counted seven on the way home.

The thing is, these things STINK. I mean, they smell so bad you can catch it a good three blocks away. It smells like rotting meat or something like that.

Most of the trucks were sitting in parking lots just idling. One was moving (I got stuck behind the stinky fucking thing for a block) but it pulled off into a gas station and stopped.

Anybody have an idea what this is all about? Or is it just more Norfolk clownfuckery going down?

Apparently, they're garbage trucks.

When I was leaving work they had stopped one trying to get on the base.

The sentry said it was because someone had phoned in a bomb threat to the company, saying they were going to put a bomb in their garbage, so all the trucks stopped moving until they could be searched.

I hate to think of what kind of shit duty that would be.

At least it's solved. Because, you know, my immediate thought was that they were full of zombies or something.

Actually, they may still be. People throw away the weirdest shit.
