BREAKING: Iraqi's acquiese to kidanppers on female prisoners?

quote:

Iraq's justice ministry has said that one of two female scientists held in US custody will be released.

It said the move was not linked to the demands of kidnappers who have reportedly killed two Americans and who have threatened to kill a British man

Honest gov, the timing is just a coincidence!

p.s. shut up coincidence.

Iraq's justice ministry is allowed to do that? Like, release prisoners held in US custody?

Anyhows, the terrorists score, cue more kidnappings.

Facts about the woman being released by the Iraqi gvt.:

"Nicknamed Dr Germ
Worked on Saddam Hussein's biological weapons programme
Accused of producing anthrax
Educated in UK's University of East Anglia
Surrendered to US forces in May 2003
Considered important target, but not on US list of 55 most wanted Iraqis
Married to former oil minister Gen Amir Mohammad Rashid, who surrendered in April 2003"

"US authorities say they only have two women in their custody in Iraq - both of them scientists allegedly involved in former leader Saddam Hussein's weapons programme."

So she is actually being released by US authorities or what? That would be news indeed.

Jesus Christ, I'm glad they didn't cave in and release her cellmate, professor pathogen.

Whew. What a stroke of luck for we archangels of decency and goodness.
