...Cause three movies by mail was not enough. I had to wait extra long for new releases and I wanted movies now.
But Blockbuster just a 5 minute WALK from my house got the same deal for the same dough. Two movies at a time includes anything in the store. In three days I have watched 26 movies. I have become a movie junkie and the Blockbuster employees already know me already. I'm gonna get two more movies! I don't care this time-I'll just grab anything I haven't seen. I may call in sick tomorrow. Life is good!

Ha. I got that same Blockbuster thing. It's a fuckuva good deal if you rent a lot of movies. For months I was sure there must be a catch.

I think for like the first three weeks I was in there daily. Now not quite so much, but I'm still a regular, I'm sure. All my objections to corporate video rental places kind of melted away when I signed up for that.

Hell, if they sold cigarettes and beef I'd probably never go anywhere else.

There's no porn,but I've watched most everything old. The new shit's guaranteed in stock,and that's what I go for most.
They also got series like the Soprano's that I can't otherwise watch cause I don't believe in paying for premium channels. I think their a rip.

20 bucks a month, flat fee, no late fees for anything (you can return anything whenever you want), the only restriction is you can only have two movies out at any given time (or three, if you pay 30 bucks a month). Is seriously worth it if you rent a lot of movies. Prior to this thing, I probably spent 200 bucks a month on movie rentals (+ late fees and all that) easy.

Different package for video games; slightly more expensive as I recall (like 30 instead of 20), but yeah, they have them for games too (again, no late fees).

You know what else sucks about working at Blockbuster, how you have to watch those shitty promotional videos the entire time instead of watching movies like they do at Hollywood or independently owned places. Actually, everything sucks about working at Blockbuster. Except telling some bitch that her dead son still owes money on the account, and she wasn't getting out of her little debt that easily.

When I worked at Blockbuster, we only had to play those things on Friday and Saturday nights (if it was busy). The rest of the time we watched movies. It was a franchise (vs corporate) store though, and I think even they had to do the promo thing a couple years after I left.

Yeah, those promo things drive me nuts.

i also have that blockbuster thing. i am a movie junkie and love my movies. like travis, i use to pay the late fees like whoa cuz i was always too forgetful about taking them back.

travis, the video game package is not as good as the movie package.
different bb's have different video games, and i believe when you sign up it only works at the bb you sign up at. so that means if they dont have a game you want and another bb does...well you're screwed.

anyone correct me if i'm wrong

I need to put my Netflix on hold, since when I moved, my boss gave me a little tv/vcr combo, but I can't connect it to my DVD player, so I've had these 3 movies for over a month and can't watch them.

Khan's right about their video package. My kids are on it. They're pretty good about new games but the problem lies in the fact that new games only come out once a month and once they get a hold of the game,they don't want to switch it out for a month at least and we end up buying that game anyway.
Movies though always seem to have new releases on a weekly basis and we switch out rather fast,making the movie package well worth it.
