I thought I had mentioned this, but I guess I forgot. As you can see in some of the pics, a lot of the tees in this area are now broken or crooked. The battlefields are right near the water and took a fair wallop when Hurricane Isabel came through last year.

The road that I live on turns into Colonial Parkway about a 1/4 of a mile down from me. It's a very wooded area and we lost 92 trees just on the small bit of property that my townhouse is on in that storm. From what the neighbors and the property manager told me (I ran away from the storm, so I wasn't here to see it) You could only get out one of the two exits. And the one that you could get out of, you could only go about 50 feet in either direction because of all the trees down. So, many of the residents here were stuck here for over a week with no power and no water (the pumps at the reservior went down, and when they started working again, the county officials told people not to drink the water because it had been contaminated). There are still hundreds and hundreds of trees down all along the sides of the road and back further in the woods. Maybe that will be my next photo shoot (after I take pictures of the Greek Orthodox Church for willimo )
