yeah. I got accepted into the doctorate program this past summer, and promptly took a year's leave of absence to be with my beloved.
So while I am technically a PhD candidate... I have yet to start in earnest with the dissertation work.

Will resume studies in september, and then join the Asylum PhD club in 2008.

I will swell the ranks... Oh yes.
