All I've got to say about that Hungry Man breakfast is that those flapjacks are in dire need of some ribbon cane syrup.
Amen.
I personally like to eat either porridge, cereal, a bowl of fruit, or eggs on toast or mushrooms on toast, or a cup of miso. I guess that most people in this country wouldn't consider any of those to be particularly hearty meals though.
A traditional fryup consists of fried eggs, bacon, sausages, fried slice, chips, beans, black pudding (and/or white pudding), bubble & squeak, AND most likely white toast with butter, and a MUG 'O' TEA!!!
If I go to the local cafff the morning after the night before, I normally go for egg, bacon, beans and bubble.
*Bubble & Squeak: traditionally made with leftovers from the Sunday roast dinner, it's basically mashed potatoes with veggies (normally cabbage, onions and sometimes carrots) that's lightly fried in a pan until crispy on the outside.
**Black Pudding: A sausage made out of pigs blood, suet and cereals. Tastes better than it sounds.
White Pudding: Similar to black pudding, except a different colour, and more like haggis.
