there's the market that Baha and Seef own on our corner. They're Palestinian, but I think they're from Amman, Jordan. They're really nice guys, and I used them as guinea pigs for our pickled turnips and peppers. They never complain.

The day of the office Christmas party was pretty much a blow-off at work.



this was about 11am. I was the last person to pop a top that day, oddly enough. Some of us still care about gettin stuff done.







The Bell's was Mike's Xmas present for me.



We headed to Figlio's for dinner about 130pm. We were all pretty lit at that point.

We got up Saturday morning to find stockings hung from the bannisters and a ton of loot spread around. I haven't had a stocking in ages. I felt a little odd about it, to be honest. But they were very nice to me and said I'm one of the family and welcome there. That's all well and good, but I'd rather they got to know me better. My first reaction to that sort of acceptance is to look for a way out. I'm still pretty feral, I guess. I've spent a fair amount of time with them this year, however, and I know them all pretty well and what's going on in their lives. I don't know why I resist all this so much, and I don't guess it matters. I'd pull myself apart no matter where I was.

So back to the layout.






Nathan and I were the first ones up on Christmas morning. We watched TV and drank coffee until everyone was present and accounted for. There was some argument over whether we should watch the rest of "Elf" or go straight into exchanging gifts or not. We ended up watching the movie, I think.



















It was snowing pretty steadily from the time we woke up until lunchtime or a little later. Really beautiful.
