All I can say is that I can't stand Christmas, it's a joke. For some people, it can be the most stressfull time of year and the most demanding and expensive, for what, I ask you? I'm an atheist for one, I don't adhere to any religion at all. Why should I go out of my way to worship a man that no-one on the face of this earth can prove one hundered percent that he did actually exist?

Many people are asking me what I am doing this Christmas, well, fuck all, I tell them. I'd rather sleep through the whole sorry episode and welcome in the new year, free from the shit-one that is passing. Thankfully, I have booked the two weeks off over the Christmas period and will avoid the Christmas parties and office drink up's (I've been diagonsed with a stomach ulcer and I'm on a complete booze ban). I might hit some foreign shore's for £200 quid a-night hookers and some scuba diving.

Christmas = Paying homage to the king's of consumerism

I use to enjoy Christmas. But over the last few years its just felt like another day of the week. I freely admit to misplacing my Christmas spirit but I wouldn't go as far to say that I hate it.

I love Christmas. I don't care for a lot of what folks create dramawise at this time a year, but I enjoy the season and even don't mind the crass consumerism. I don't buy much, because I don't have much, but I don't feel bad about that. I get to see people I care about and hang out and eat a lot and enjoy people's company and cold weather and good food and all that. I don't see much of a downside, really. I think some folks just carry a lot of baggage about it from their childhoods and a lot of expectation about how they're supposed to feel or act until they deny themselves the possibility of enjoying anything. Saying you hate the season is just sayin yer bitter, as far as I'm concerned. old bitter bitches.
