Not much was made about this during the election. But here is Kerry's daughter showing her jugs to the world. Funny, if the Bush daughters had done something like that, the media would have been all over it. I guess it's ok to go topless when you're a democrat. Go figure.

Littlebill, as I said, I don't care about what the Bush daughters do. If one did think that what Kerry's and Bush's daughters did was important, what the Bush daughters did was more important because it was illegal. What Kerry's daughter did wasn't even remarkable (wearing a sheer dress ohmigod). But neither are important. They weren't standing for election, and nor were the wives of the candidates.

I'm fed up about republicans whining about the great media conspiracy though. I heard before I came here that democrats were the whiners, and they are, but, surprise, republicans are just as fucking bad, with a side of vomitous moralistic self-righteousness.

And another thing. All that 'they aren't focussing on the positives enough' bullshit earlier on in Iraq is just that, bullshit. The accusation that the journos weren't looking at what was important is nuts; they were right, and we can all see that they were right. Things weren't going as well as hoped and the signs weren't good. That doesn't mean that the endeavour is doomed (far from it, I hope) but those of us who supported the war (me included) should at least admit that it hasn't been done well.

The fact is that the administration got a huge unjustifiable pass from pretty much all the print media and the television media, because the administration coralled the forces of 'patriotism'. It was pathetic.

The republicans should maybe, rather than whining about how the majority of journalists are liberal (which certainly appears to be true, although the link to them reporting with a liberal slant is not established), wonder why the people who are smart and pretty much the best informed, don't generally agree with them. Oh yeah, they get kicked out of journalism if they're not leftwing pinko homofags, great media conspiracy, boohoo.
